John McCain is the winner of the Florida Republican Primary. He edged past Mitt Romney to gain campaign momentum for next week's string of elections in 21 states.
McCain told reported it was "A very significant boost" and shows he is "the conservative leader who can unite the party.
The Florida Victory is good for 57 National Convention Delegates for McCain and is the largest single prize to date in the race.
Rudy Giuliani was in third place and officials familiar with the events say his aides are in discussions with McCain's advisers on a possible endorsement later in the week. Its reported on NBC - TV that Giuliani will Fly To California tomorrow (Wednesday) and endorse McCain for the Presidency.
Mike Huckabee ran fourth in the Florida balloting and told his supporters he will forge ahead.
In the unofficial Florida Democratic Primary Hillary Clinton claimed victory with 50% of the votes. Barack Obama totaled 32% and Sen. John Edwards ran third in the Florida balloting garnering 14 % of the support.
Elsewhere, a ballot proposal that would cut property taxes for Florida homeowners an average of $240 a year has passed. The proposed constitutional amendment won with 65% of the votes.
Its not over though. Governor Charlie Crist says it is just another step to property tax relief in Florida. The first step was late last year when many Florida counties rolled back their millage levies. Bay and Gulf Counties led with the state with 9% in budget cuts.
